Description

Cheetah-spotted pony god with the uncanny ability to run across the world a few times over, that's not something you'll see everyday.
-The Biped's Guide to Equestria
---------------

Name: Wildrunner (Sumpmf-heii)
Aspects: The animal kingdom, plains, grasses, and watermelons.
Patron Race: The Kaganarr, a race of spotted ponies native to the southlands of Kirka. They have lost their true direction in life, protecting the animal kingdom, by joining the rest of pony society long ago.
Cutie Mark: A stylized head of a big cat.

Backstory:
In the grand pantheon of gods, Wildrunner sticks out as one of the stranger looking ones. Some say his existence is owed to the need of the Lord and Lady. This need being a protector that would watch over the many non-sapient animals of the universe that would also connect to the worlds of civilized creatures. When Wildrunner was born, it seemed he would simply be a god of the cats, but time and fate changed him into the overlord of animals in general.

Personality wise, Wildrunner is one the more laid-back gods. In legend, Wildrunner is often said to have frequented pony drinking establishments for a few shots of applejack and vodka. Legend also states that this god of the animal world had a competitive streak in him. He would often race anypony who challenged him, he often won the race but it's not unheard of a pony beating him. This particular true in the poem "The tale of Thunderstruck". Thunderstruck was a boastful earth pony who dared everypony to a challenge. Wildrunner took the dare and raced Thunderstruck all around the world of Equus. The earth pony ended up beating the god by only the hair of his mane. Wildrunner took the race in stride and took in Thunderstruck as a student. In some thought circles the earth pony became the overseer of Wildrunner's realm when he passed to the other side.

On another note, Wildrunner's position as the god of animals is not mentioned much in historic poetry. This may be due to him treating his aspect as more of day job than the other members of the pantheon. The lack of information on Wildrunner's duties have mostly been pinned down to the god's refusal to talk much about the animal kingdom. The few facts that are known is that he sometimes lives in the realm of Sumaheii, in which the totem spirits of animals live. Totem spirits are seldom referred too in elder tomes, so some scholars believe is has an old animistic holdover from the SHOOBEDOO culture. Another fact is that Wildrunner has the ability to give extraordinary powers to certain individuals based on animals. Again, this not highlighted much in mythology. In the end, Wildrunner lives on as one the more popular gods despite the little mythology behind him.
