Reno Blak is the son of the Black Widow Guardian and a man by the name Sam Blak. The Black Widow Guardian is one of many large mechanoid creatures that defend the earth from whatever ails her. How this relationship came to be is strange, something involving a toaster and an unfortunate encounter with a whale.

However, being the son of a spider-like mechanoid makes Reno odd in many's eye. He is an expert textile artist and arthropod enthusiast.

This character came about when I wanted to both have a spider-themed character but also have a love interest for Cali Bridges. I really don't like inter-ranger romance so I figured a spider-boy would do it for the Horseshoe Crab Ranger.
