(As a side note, I'm giving the Shinlai universe a designation in my Multiverse, since this guy is my character)

Profession: Journeyman Blacksmith

Personality: A fairly normal guy, Lyle is a considerate person who wants to perfect his profession. He loves to dance and sometimes he feels like a mad scientist. (A mad scientist would make an army of zombies to help out with the laundry, while an Evil Genius would use the zombies to take over the world.) Lyle likes his god, the ladies, food, and traveling to new places. He rather dislikes cynical people and those who think their all that and a bag of chips.
His view of the Shinlai is fairly neutral. He acknowledges that the Shinlai are powerful but sometimes feels that they are haughty are ignorant of "lesser" beings. Lyle does not go out of his way to meet the a Shinlai but would not avert to talking to one.

In the mountain town of Mountain Point, a young blacksmith tries his best to survive in a crazy world. Lyle Riverrider was once Master Entran's apprentice in the town. He is now on his own, trying to make best with his new blacksmithing shop.
Mountain Point is located at the southern tip of Elaisha's mountain range. The town serves as the last stop before a major pass between the peaks, many a traveler also go their for the hot springs. Mountain Point also serves as the home to a dormant volcano with gives energy to the town's famous weapons and armor shops. A river called the Tailride also goes by the town.
An eccentric tradition/religion also resides there. Most of the residents believe that a benevolent fire god lives in the volcano who gives the town the warm water to do their craft. The fire spirit's name is Cerexan and there is a yearly festival to celebrate the god. The citizens of Mountain Point gather around a sacred geyser in which they symbolically throw the blood of a virgin into the water. Each of the town's people have a personal symbol that represents what their soul looks like to Cerexan. Lyle's symbol resembles a cat while his master's looks like a bulldog.
The town also has a coat of arms. The arms are on a field quartered in red and blue.The red representing fire, Cerexan, and the blood of family. The blue represents the water of the Tailride and the soul. The hammer symbolizes the town's notoriety for its weapons work. The other thing called a Noco, a device used in the town's ceremonies. The triangles are the human symbol for Fire.
